The university of the Sunshine Coast is pleased to announce that Dr Eileen Herbert-Goodall will soon be running a creative writing course open to members of the public. The course begins on July 27 and will run from 6 pm - 8 pm for 8 weeks. The course is part of the university's continuing education program. Participants will be invited to submit a piece of short prose or memoir for publication in an electronic anthology. Eileen is a published author and award-winning short story writer. Art on Cairncross presents "Rust & Lace", an exhibition of wall-hanging assemblages by Nathalie Bastier. Predominantly pieces of rusted metal are combined and contrasted with delicate lace or other old items to create artworks of social commentary, balance and new beauty. There is humour and much to discover in each work.
