Two deadlines fast approaching are the Caloundra Regional Gallery’s Local Contemporary Art Prize and MadeSC Lab’s One Day Intensive — don’t miss your chance to submit a work or RSVP for a spot in the annual program at 2nd Space.
If funding is on your radar in 2025, the current round of RADF grants are open for projects (up to $15K) and mentorships (up to $5K). And, applications to Creative Australia’s Arts Projects grant round for Individuals or Organisations close 4 March.
For those seeking something hands-on to start the year, The Refinery is bringing Brisbane’s Rachel Burke and her colourful multidisciplinary practice to the Sunshine Coast in February for a one-day Masterclass full of crafty skills and fun. Or, apply for one of two residency opportunities in Brisbane and Adelaide offered by Artisan.

Transform Noosa with Your Public Art Project
EOIs close 2 March
Noosa Council is seeking artists to create two permanent public artworks as part of the South East Queensland City Deal Public Art Initiative. With a generous budget of up to $215,000 per artwork, this opportunity is open to artists of all mediums.
Successful proposals will be installed in a public, council-owned location with a minimum lifespan of 10 years. Up to six shortlisted artists will receive a paid opportunity to develop and present their proposals on 28 April 2025.
Take Your Performance Anywhere
EOIs now open
Sunshine Coast performance makers are invited to take their work beyond traditional theatre spaces with Supported by Anywhere Festivals. This initiative provides mentorship, production support, marketing, and technical resources to help bring innovative live performances to unique and unexpected locations.
Open to any genre of performance making, including theatre, music, comedy, circus, dance, immersive, participatory, poetry, and film, this program supports the development and presentation of bold, creative works. Selected participants will receive guidance from industry professionals, promotional assistance, and access to production resources, ensuring their performance reaches new audiences.
Join the Craft Revival with Rachel Burke’s Fun-filled Masterclass

You may know Rachel Burke from her stunning creations on the red carpet or from designing iconic looks worn by Harry Styles and Cate Blanchett. Now, Brisbane’s own Queen of Colour is bringing her bold creative play to the Coast for a one-day Masterclass. In this session, you’ll turn an everyday pantry box into a red carpet-worthy handbag. Rachel will guide you through unique hand-making techniques and design thinking to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Connect with fellow designers, crafters, and artists in a fun and inspiring environment.

The Artist as Fundraiser is a FREE 3 hour fundraising workshop, designed for artists, producers and collectives looking to strategically build supporter relationships and grow income from donations.

Creative Australia has opened the Arts Projects for Individuals and Groups grant with up to $50,000 available for a range of activities and projects across all art forms.

Artisan Residency Program
Applications are now open for artisan's exciting new career-changing residency programs. Offering fully-funded residency opportunities for 2 outstanding Queensland craft and design practitioners.
With support from Arts Queensland, artisan presents transformative career opportunities for Queensland practitioners. This innovative program provides a residency and exhibition for two Queensland craftspeople and designers annually, providing them the resources to create new works, hone additional skills and connect with fresh audiences.
Storytelling and Recording: First Nations Project Fund
Storytelling and Recording: First Nations Project Fund supports First Nations media organisations and individuals in creating and sharing culturally significant arts and cultural content. This includes community-based radio and television broadcasting, cultural recordings, community storytelling, and technical media training. The initiative amplifies First Nations voices, fosters cultural preservation, and broadens audience participation through enhanced media production.
Wangaratta Contemporary Textile Award
Wangaratta Art Gallery is now calling for entries to the $40,000 acquisitive Wangaratta Contemporary Textile Award.
Marking the 9th anniversary of this nationally acclaimed biennial prize and exhibition, the Wangaratta Contemporary Textile Award 2025 will be held from 24 May - 17 August 2025.
