"On behalf of the Board of the Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance, you are invited to a breakfast event - 'Valuing the Creative Economy of the Sunshine Coast'on May 7th at the Maroochy SLSC.

The Sunshine Coast has nurtured some of Australia's best architects, painters and writers. Many leading artists call The Coast home and we're surroundedby exciting emerging talent. There may well be something in our water, and there certainly is something in our 'sense of place'!

But how well do we understand our own 'creative ecology'? How can we nurture and grow this vital part of our economy?

The Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance has engaged leading consultancy Urbis to prepare a background paper on the 'Value of our Creative Economy'. Theirpaper will be launched at this event and guest speakers will highlight the economic potential of investing in the Creative Industries of the Coast.The event is intended to stimulate discussion and connections between creative professionals, investors and business leaders."
