We’re Hiring: Executive Director

Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance (SCCA) is seeking an experienced, values-led Executive Director to guide the organisation through its next phase of growth and impact.

Established in 2008, SCCA is the leading arts and creative industries organisation on the Sunshine Coast. We advocate for the creative sector as a vital part of a thriving region and deliver programs that support artists and creatives to build sustainable practices. Our professional development programs, delivered under The Refinery brand, focus on the intersections of art, design, technology, and environment.

Following the successful award of Arts Queensland Organisational Funding, this is an exciting opportunity to shape the organisation's future and the broader regional creative ecosystem.

The role

The Executive Director works in close partnership with the SCCA Committee to provide strategic leadership and oversee the organisation's operations, programs, partnerships, and finances. The role is both outward-facing, advocating for the sector and building partnerships, and inward-facing, ensuring strong governance, sustainability, and a positive workplace culture.

About you

You are a respected leader in the creative or cultural sector with a strong track record in organisational leadership, partnership-building, and program delivery. You are strategic, collaborative, and committed to strengthening creative communities.

Role details

  • Part-time (0.8 FTE, 30 hours per week)

  • Two-year fixed-term contract

  • Sunshine Coast-based

  • Commencement: March 2026 (negotiable)
