We will open up all of the volunteer positions on our Management Committee, which consists of 4 executive positions and 6 portfolio positions - four of which are non-voting. Dr Susan Davis

Dr Sue Davis has been actively involved in the regional arts scene on the Sunshine Coast as a foundation member of the Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance (beginning with the Noosa Creative Catalyst program), Pecha Kucha Coordinator and lead for the engagement program for developing the Sunshine Coast Arts Plan. She has a background in drama educator/youth arts/scriptwriter and on the coast has been involved in a range of arts-based projects including co-curating two ‘Wild/flower Women’ exhibitions and Anywhere Theatre performance. In her day job she is Associate Professor and Deputy Dean, Research in the School of Education and the Arts at Central Queensland University, Sunshine Coast Region. Sue is passionate about building the profile and opportunities for coastal creatives.Susan Davis on Linkedin[/vc_column_text][vc_separator type="normal" color="#eeee22" up="30" down="30"][vc_column_text]

Megan Williams

Megan has 15 years’ experience as cultural programmer, curator, and writer. She is currently Manager of USC Art Gallery where she is leading a major redevelopment due for completion in 2020. Prior to commencing at USC, Megan worked at QUT where she held a number of curatorial and public programming roles across QUT Art Museum, the William Robinson Gallery, The Cube, and the Creative Industries Precinct. Megan has curated and co-curated over 30 exhibitions of contemporary art including major surveys of Judith Wright and William Robinson. She has experience sitting on committees and boards, and is currently a member of USC's Vice-Chancellor's Art Advisory Committee.Megan should be a part of the SCCA management committee as she is passionate about the value of arts and culture; she believes that artists are the barometer of society and agents of change, and that a creative community is an inclusive, cohesive and stronger community. In terms of practical skills, Megan is experienced in managing partnerships and relationships that are mutually beneficial. She is extremely organised (loves and Excel spreadsheet), has excellent planning and organisational skills and the capacity to attend to multiple priorities in a timely manner. Judith Pippen

Jude Pippen has served in the cultural industry for over 40 years. She has a doctorate in Performance Studies from Queensland University of Technology where she worked in actor training. She has been a Funds Manager and Grant Assessor with Arts Queensland.In early years Jude was Director of Arts Montville and alongside many annual productions she mounted the first Australian Arts Based Work for the Dole program. Working in the Wide Bay Jude was a founding director of Creative Regions. Since her return to the coast she has managed the Black Box Theatre as part of her voluntary administration of the Old Ambulance Station. As a community artist Jude is active in the fields of performing arts, festivals and events. Currently she curates and coordinates the THEATRELAB program for the Sunshine Coast Theatre Alliance.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator type="normal" color="#eeee22" up="30" down="30"][vc_column_text]

Jessica Abraham

I have been a strong advocate for the creative community on the Sunshine Coast since I was 18 – and co-founded Tidal Magazine. Tidal was an independent publication that showcased and celebrated young creatives on the Coast, giving them a platform to connect and share their work. We also launched Tidal Presents; an event series that again aimed to showcase creativity and make culture accessible to young people. Tidal existed for four years – during this time it became an integral voice for creativity and culture on the Coast, and I myself a spokesperson for the arts, going on to speak, teach and mentor through a number of different programs and events.After Tidal ended, I founded my second business, ethical travel clothing brand Tasi Travels (which I have just sold after three years of operations). Up until the end of 2018, I was also the Marketing Manager & Designer for wellbeing brand, ECO. Modern Essentials, for the four years prior.I am currently on the marketing team for Horizon Festival, which has reinvigorated my love for the arts and my passion for both sharing and celebrating that with the creative community here on the Coast. I believe I would bring fresh eyes and perspective to the SCCA; continuing on the brilliant (and very important work), but opening a channel for a new community, and ideas around a strategy that engages a wider audience than the traditional Coast arts community. Kate Fuller

Hailing from Hobart, a dancer since I was 3 and dance teacher from 11 years old. I taught at my local studio and created a program to teach dance to disadvantaged youth whilst I was in college. I joined TasDance for a season in 2004 and Stompin Youth Dance Company in 2005, prior to moving to Sydney and training at Sydney Dance Company. Professional credits include performing with Faker at ARIA Awards, Eve at MTV Awards, So You Think You Can Dance Top 100, touring North Queensland as a choreographer with Travers Ross and Kuki Tupoki and Sydney Roosters Cheerleader Squad. For 13 years I've had a wonderful career in music working with various contracts inclusive of Touring Coordinator for Modular Records/Agency, Event Manager for Enmore Theatre, Tour Manager for various K-Pop artists throughout Asia, Venue Manager for nightclubs and festivals such as Festival of the Sun, Australian Music Week, Dark Mofo, Piknic Electronica Barcelona and more. I'm grateful to have had a varied career within the arts and want to contribute more to my new home of 18 months and local community. Holly Walker

Holly Walker was born in Badtjala Country and now lives, works, and parents in Gubbi Gubbi/ Kabi Kabi Country.Holly is a creative and social enterprise practitioner who effectively applies her community development, project management, collaboration, and communication skills in a broad range of contexts. She has collaborated on a range of large and small-scale projects, productions, programs, and events in Australia and overseas.As General Manager of Renew Australia from its inception in 2011, Holly worked with Renew Newcastle founder Marcus Westbury to establish the national peak body that supports similar urban renewal schemes in communities across the country. She supervised the scoping and delivery of more than twenty consultancy jobs – including vacant space activation programs, stakeholder workshops, research reports, training events, and the national Creating Spaces Community Renewal Conference. This involved various partners and clients, such as the federal government’s Office for the Arts, Places Victoria, City of Melbourne, City of Sydney, Moreton Bay Regional Council, Stockland, Lend Lease, GPT, and Social Traders.Holly is passionate about advocating the social and economic value of a strong, dynamic, and inclusive arts and culture sector. Events and Projects position on the board of SCCA. I have had extensive experience with events and project management, having created and coordinated amongst other projects, an annual quilt festival, paper craft and scrapbooking festival, worked as volunteer coordinator and stage manager for music festivals, and was artistic director for the Multicultural Arts program at Carnivale in Sydney. I have also had experience with community development through my role at Bondi Beach based Chapel by the Sea where I was involved with the creation of Ruby's Place Performance Cafe. In other business I have worked as Marketing and Sales Manager and more recently as Business Development Manager for the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence.I've relocated to the beautiful Sunshine Coast and have been impressed with the work SCCA has been doing with the arts here.
